LG V20 S release date, news, specs rumors: Slim version slated for international rollout early 2017?
The latest powerful handset from LG, the LG V20, has been unveiled last month, but there are now rumors that the South Korean electronics giant will be releasing the slim or mini version of the high-end smartphone.
The smaller version, now called as LG V20 S, is expected to be released in the international market in the near future. According to Android Headlines, the LG V20 S will be available in the European market in the coming months. This smaller version of the LG V20 is predicted to do well in Europe, since the mobile users in the region usually prefer small and handy devices.
Also, it can be noted that a small handset version similar to the LG V20, the Isai Beat, has been released in the Japanese market already. The rumored LG V20 S is expected to be similar to Japan's Isai Beat, but the former will have slightly smaller screen display and half of Isai Beat's internal storage capacity.
According to BGR, the LG Isai Beat or LG V34 has a 5.2-inch display with 32 GB of internal storage. This is just half of the LG V20's 64 GB storage capacity. If the rumors are anything to go by, the V20 S will be coming in similar with 5.2-inch display, 32 GB internal storage, but also with special waterproof technology.
The LG V20 S's anticipated 5.2-inch Quad HD display will also feature a secondary screen similar to the original LG V20 device. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz paired with an Adreno 530 GPU and 4 GB of RAM, Yibada reported.
Other rumors suggest that the LG V20 S will be pre-installed with the latest Android Nougat as its operating system. The LG V20 S will also be sporting dual rear cameras with 16 and 8 megapixels, and a 5 MP front camera.
