'Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens' DLC news: New trailer for 'Poe's Quest for Survival' DLC

Not long ago, "Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens" launched a downloadable content (DLC) pack that explored what happened to C-3PO and how he got his red arm. A new DLC will be released which showcases Poe Dameron and how he escaped Jakku after he crashed the TIE Fighter in the beginning of the movie.

The DLC is called "Poe's Quest for Survival" and a new trailer has him fighting the gangs in the outskirts of Jakku. "The Force Awakens" film followed the story of Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) after the TIE Fighter crashed on the planet and Poe was presumed dead until he appeared with his X-Wing Squadron on Maz Kanata's planet.

The DLC follows Poe's adventure as he tries to get back to the Resistance base. In the game, he finds an ally by the name of Naka Iit who brings Poe to his village. Iit's home, however, is being attacked by a gang called the Strus Clan and Poe finds himself in the middle of a conflict. The game promises a lot of shooter-action and even a speeder chase level.

Fans who have been keeping track behind the scenes will remember that J.J. Abrams initially had the planned to have Poe (Oscar Isaac) die in the TIE Fighter crash but he eventually changed his mind and brought him back in the middle of the movie — much to the delight of fans. Poe has become the new generation's Han Solo; a wise-cracking ace pilot with a charming personality.

Granted this DLC will have more Lego humor added to the official canon story, fans would want a little piece of info on exactly how Poe was able to get off the desert planet.
