Promotional still of the JSA in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 | The CW

The second season of "Legends of Tomorrow" is bringing in the Justice Society of America aka the JSA, and new stills of every member of the team has been released. The members include, Stargirl (Sarah Grey), Hourman (Patrick J. Adams), Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Commander Steel (Matthew MacCaull), Obsidian (Lance Henriksen), and Dr. Mid-nite (Kwesi Ameyaw). An official synopsis for the episode has also been leaked.

The JSA is said to premiere in the second episode of the season appropriately titled
"The Justice Society of America," and part of the synopsis is as follows:

"TEAM WORK — The Legends travel to Nazi-occupied Paris, but find themselves surrounded by the Justice Society of America (AKA JSA.) The Legends discover a time aberration that threatens the JSA, but the JSA wants nothing to do with them or their help. Nevertheless, the Legends force their way into the JSA's mission to intercept and seize a mysterious package."

The synopsis goes on to say that Nate (Nick Zano) will have a secret to share with Commander Steel, who also happens to be his grandfather. Ray (Brandon Routh) puts himself and Vixen in danger while he tries to impress the JSA.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Marc Guggenheim also expresses his excitement about introducing the JSA to the series. He says that it's a pretty big move for the DC Universe on TV, and, "For comic book fans, everyone knows the Justice Society is really the precursor to the Justice League."

Maybe that's also the same reason why the show decided to put the JSA into an older time period. The present time is already rife with dozens of meta-humans. It's interesting to put those heroes at a different time period this time around.

Some fans are excited about the costumes of the new characters coming out, but they are still hoping that the show brings something else to the table.

DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 will debut on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 8 p.m. EDT.
