'Kingdom Hearts 3' release date news 2016: new details to be unveiled on 'Kingdom Hearts 2.8' launch?
New details about "Kingdom Hearts III" should arrive really soon now that fans are closing in on the release of "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue."
As Square Enix explicitly said, they will refrain from sharing big details about "Kingdom Hearts III" until the compilation sees the light of day.
However, it looks like the developer will also take advantage of the release date of "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" to make some big reveals about "Kingdom Hearts III."
This is if the remarks of game director Tetsuya Nomura in his interview with Dengeki Online are anything to go by. It was held back in June so there is a chance that there will be some change of plans.
"After I've gotten it across that the position of the content in KH2.8 is important, I think I will report new information on KH3 along with the release of KH2.8," Nomura said.
Back in June, when the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 was held, a trailer for "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" was also released and teased that new "Kingdom Hearts III" details will be revealed this winter.
This increases the possibility that Square Enix will uncover important details about the upcoming game on the same day the compilation will be released.
For now, Square Enix wants to make "Kingdom Hearts III" reveals in the "right time." This is also what game director Tai Yasue emphasized in an interview with GamesBeat.
"We want each announcement to be special. We want to exceed our fans' expectations and we want to do it in a good way. We want to plan things out, the way we announce things. It's not that stressful, at least for me," he explained.
Square Enix keeps much about "Kingdom Hearts 3" except for the worlds it will feature, which include "Big Hero 6" and "Tangled."
As far as the release date goes, rumors have it that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will arrive on March 2017.
