Kate Middleton, Prince William Baby News: Pregnant Duchess Photographed Leaving London Clinic
Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, was seen leaving a clinic in London on Friday night, the first time she was seen in public since reports came out that she was suffering from severe morning sickness (Hyperemisis Gravidarum), which forced Buckingham Palace to cancel her royal engagements.
According to a report from Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Kate appeared to have visited a clinic for a baby scan. It's been confirmed that the Duchess is expecting a baby girl.
Kate was photographed with her husband Prince William leaving the London clinic after what appeared to be a visit to royal obstetrician Alan Farthing. The doctor, together with Marcus Setchell and Guy Thorpe-Beeston, has been assisting and supervising Kate since her first pregnancy.
Assuming that the visit was indeed for an ultrasound scan, the Palace may be expected to announce the likely date of birth of the royal couple's second child any time now. It has been reported that baby no. 2 is due in late April next year — the exact same month Kate and William tied the knot in 2011.
In her latest photo, the Duchess looked happy while Prince William was seen holding an envelope, which is believed to contain images of the supposed ultrasound.
The photos have created controversy all over the world, with some people viewing it as a violation of privacy. A reporter from Daily Express said, "Our head of news and news editor feel there is nothing more private than a woman going for a pregnancy scan, if that is what was happening."
The images were nevertheless published by the New York Daily News, which contended that since the images were taken in a public place, they were not violating any privacy.
Meanwhile, after weeks of absence, Kate is expected to attend an official engagement as she greets the President of Singapore at the Royal Garden Hotel in London on Oct. 21, whom she will meet on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II.
