It's as if Kanye West heckling Taylor Swift during her big night at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards did not happen!

It seemed like that after the Grammy-decorated rapper announced that he is headed to the studio to collaborate with the country superstar.

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday, West announced that Swift came up to him. "She wants to get in the studio and we're definitely going to go in. Any artist with an amazing point of view, perspective, fan base, I'm down to get in the studio and work," West said, according to Entertainment Weekly.

"I don't discriminate. I don't have an elitism of music because of like how many Grammys or you know, the amount of ratings you get on an album," he added.

The rapper said he likes to involve himself with any type of music whether it's hip-hop, or alternative, or even country.

"If I could be involved in giving people any type of energy, advice in the studio, whether you're Beyoncé, whether you're Taylor Swift, whether you're Jay Z, whether you're Beck, whoever, and they can be reciprocal with that, I'd like to be involved with that," he said.

West and Swift were seen buddying up at the Grammys even as West "pulled a Kanye" by going up on stage to spite Beck who was then receiving the Album of the Year award, prompting fans to throw barbs at him.

The scene was reminiscent of his 2009 MTV Video Music Awards stunt, with West's now-infamous interruption of Taylor Swift's best female video acceptance speech.

In the recent Grammys, West claimed Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" should have won the Album of the Year award since the album has "one of the best videos of all time."

Last year, West collaborated with the Beatle's Paul McCartney in recording the single "Only One" before contributing to Rihanna's comeback single "Four Five Seconds" last month.
