'Justice League' release date and news: Behind the scenes reel gives a look at Zack Snyder's superhero movie
The shooting of Zack Snyder's "Justice League" in London has wrapped up and the director shared a "sizzle reel" which showcased the production behind the scenes. It gave audiences a new look at all of the different costumes and characters that will be appearing in the movie.
The video was posted on Zack Snyder's Twitter account and he gave everyone in the cast and crew a big thanks. The clip had Jason Momoa fooling around on set and fans got a new look at Aquaman in full armor. There was also another look at Batman (Ben Affleck) in his tactical suit.
Superman (Henry Cavill) was oddly missing from the clips, however, and the shots of the entire League only had four members — Batman, Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller).
When Snyder released the first image of Momoa as Aquaman, it came with the tagline "Unite the Seven." So far, only six members have been confirmed for the Justice League. Some speculated that the seventh member could either be Martian Manhunter or Green Lantern.
Reports said majority of the cast has already wrapped up filming their parts but Momoa is expected to shoot more scenes in Iceland later this month.
The DC Cinematic Universe is playing a tired game of "keep-up" with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So far, three films have been released ("Man of Steel," "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Suicide Squad") and none of them have received any of the critical acclaim that the Marvel movies have had. A lot of pressure is riding on this film to bring DC's movies head-to-head with Marvel Studios.
"Justice League" is set for release on Nov. 17, 2017.
