A lot of fans were saddened when "X-Men" stars Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult ended their relationship after many years, but rumor has it that Lawrence is currently dating "Black Swan" and "Requiem for a Dream" director Darren Aronofsky.

People reported that Lawrence and Aronofsky have been spotted having lunch together back in August, and a friend of Lawrence said that the two are "hanging out and are casually dating."

Before the news of Lawrence and Aronofsky came up, reports have been romantically linking Lawrence and Coldplay's leading man Chris Martin; it's reported that the two had ended things almost a year ago.

Lawrence and Aronofsky are said to be working on an untitled project that will star Lawrence alongside actors Ed Harris and Javier Bardem. The movie is said to already be in its post-production phase and the story focuses on a couple whose lives are disrupted because of the arrival of unwelcome guests.

Interestingly enough, Lawrence has been dating men who have been with famous celebrities in the past. Chris Martin had just recently divorced actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Aronofsky shares a 10-year old son named Henry with ex Rachel Weisz.

As for Nicholas Hoult, rumors have suggested that he has been with three actresses as of 2014, those being model Riley Keough, "Glee's" Diana Agron, and most recently, "Twilight's" Kristen Stewart.

Though Lawrence and Hoult have not been in a relationship since 2014, the two have recently starred together in the summer blockbuster, "X-men: Apocalypse." It's only a matter of time before the ex-lovers find themselves working together again in future films of the "X-Men" franchise.

Hoult plays the highly intelligent blue mutant Hank McCoy aka Beast, and Lawrence plays shapeshifting mutant and former villain Mystique in the "X-men" universe.

The next "X-Men" film will be set in the 1990s, but there has been no specified release date for the movie.
