Jane the Virgin' season 3 air date, spoilers news: Jane loses her V-card, but to whom?

Jane finally gets intimate in "Jane the Virgin" season 3. Will it be with Michael? | The CW

"Jane the Virgin" season 3 will be a life-changing year for Jane (Gina Rodriguez) as she will finally lose her precious V-card. The question now is to whom she will do so.

Show creator Jennie Snyder Urman revealed to Entertainment Weekly that Jane will indeed be virgin no more come next season. She was a bit coy though when asked with whom she'll lose it.

"She does lose her virginity this year," Urman revealed. "It's in the first half of the season, and it's quite a big episode for us," she continued.

It is interesting to think about who will be the lucky man that Jane will share a steamy night with considering the events that transpired in the previous season of "Jane the Virgin."

Early on, it looked like Rafael (Justin Baldoni) and Michael (Brett Dier) both failed to win Jane's heart, but she, in the end, gives the latter a chance and ultimately agrees to marry him.

Just when things appear to be looking up for once, Jane's husband gets fatally shot inflicting a serious danger in his life. Michael's fate won't be revealed until "Jane the Virgin" season 3.

It is a mystery if Jane being finally ready to make love also means that Michael will survive since they just got married and she would want to share the special moment with him, unless of course Michael is not in good condition.

Urman stated that the question of whom Jane loses her V-card to is not something as simple as that. "There's obviously a lot of tension and question marks over that," Urman said.

Whoever it will end up being, Rodriguez only has one thing to say about her character finally doing the deed in "Jane the Virgin" season 3.

"How is [losing her virginity] going to play into her life, her psychology, how she views herself and how she views her intimacy? There's an evolution," the actress teased.

"Jane the Virgin" season 3 will premiere on Monday, Oct. 17, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
