Marvel's "Iron Fist" season 1 debuted on Netflix last Friday, and unfortunately, it received a lot of bad comments due to the show's cast members mismatching their comic counterparts. Meanwhile, Steel Serpent will reportedly be season 2's big bad.

Created by Scott Buck, "Iron Fist" features Finn Jones as the titular character, also known as Danny Rand, who returns to New York after he went missing for 15 years. Rand was determined to reclaim his family company upon his return, but he needed to face other issues regarding his identity as "Iron Fist."

Sadly for the show, a lot of viewers had left negative comments for "Iron Fist" because of how the characters are allegedly far from the original comic series in terms of race and diversity. The majority of these comments root from how the creators of the Netflix version allegedly white-washed the series by casting a white male lead instead of an Asian actor.

In an interview with Metro, Jones explained that there are multiple factors to consider when it comes to "Iron Fist" and that Netflix's version of the show was "made for the fans" and not for the critics.

"I also think some of the reviews we saw were seeing the show through a very specific lens, and I think when the fans of the Marvel Netflix world and fans of the comic books view the show through the lens of just wanting to enjoy a superhero show, then they will really enjoy what they see," Jones added.

Although it can be argued that the critics are also fans of "Iron Fist," even co-star Sacha Dawan said that Marvel and Netflix set out an entirely different path for the show.

Aside from this, Dawan also teased that he might be playing season 2's big bad, Davos, also known as Steel Serpent, according to Radio Times.

In the comic series, Davos is known to hate Danny because he was chosen to be the protector of K'un L'un, but he abandoned it instead and went to New York. However, Dawan revealed that they will be going with new directions with how Davos becomes a villain in "Iron Fist" season 2.

The premiere date of "Iron Fist" season 2 is not yet confirmed.
