As of now, Marvel TV is prepping audiences for the arrival of "Luke Cage" at the end of this month but that doesn't mean that it's been ignoring another incoming Marvel show, "Iron Fist." The series is set to come out next year and Marvel has a lot of things to reveal at the New York Comic-Con (NYCC).

According to IGN, the "Iron Fist" panel will take place at the NYCC on Oct 8. Marvel's head of television, Jeph Loeb, will moderate the panel which is said to include all the main cast members of the show. They also promise that the attendees will get a first look at the series.

It's only fitting that the hero to follow Luke Cage would be Iron Fist. The two have been a famous pair in the comics and have been partners for decades. They were created in the '70s and they both represent relevant cultural trends prevalent at that time. Luke Cage represented the "Black Power" movement while Iron Fist was created at the height of the popularity of Chinese Kung-Fu films.

The extent of Iron Fist/Danny Rand's (Finn Jones) powers in the series is not that clear but based on the teaser, he may have one hell of a punch. With the Marvel shows trying to ground itself in reality, fans have suspected that Iron Fist might just end up like Daredevil, a martial arts specialist who beats up the bad guys — only Iron Fist isn't blind.

Marvel TV also has more series treats in store at the NYCC 2016. They will be giving an exclusive look at "Agents of SHIELD's" new Ghost Rider and they will also be having their own panel for the "X-Men" universe spin-off "Legion."

The convention will run from Oct. 6 to Oct. 9. "Iron Fist" airs on Netflix early 2017.
