iPhone 7, Galaxy S6 Release Date, Specs: 2015 Possibilities for Both Devices
As 2014 nears its end, we can expect a new line of smartphones in the coming year with manufacturers gearing up for new and improved versions of their flagship devices. Although we still have a full month and a few days before the beginning of 2015, rumors about the iPhone 7 and the Galaxy S6 have started to creep online.
It's difficult to imagine what the iPhone 7 will be like this early in the year, but basing on the traditional names Apple baptize their smartphones, it is likely that the iPhone 7 will be named iPhone 6S.
While it's been rumored that Apple will be doing away with the "S" series, it remains to be a rumor with no official word from Apple yet. Another news circulating in the Internet is that the next iPhone will be called the "iPhone Air."
As for the release, if iPhone follows its tradition, then we can expect the new phone by September 2015. Another rumor has it that Apple might move the launch date to April, which is five months earlier than usual.
Other iPhone 7 rumors include a 3D display, wireless charging features, 14-nanometer A9 processor, and a significant improvement on the camera, which features a two-lens improvement like that of the HTC One M8.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S6 may feature a Quad HD display with 2560 x 1440 display in a 5.2-inch screen; a 16 to 20 megapixel rear camera; a 5 megapixel front camera; and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. The phone could also come in several storage options such as 32GB, 64 GB and 128 GB.
It may be too early to tell as the smartphone manufacturers still got plenty of time to think it over, so stay tuned for more updates!
