iPad Pro 2 release date, specs rumors: High-end tablets launching in March 2017?
The iPad Pro 2 is rumored to arrive early next year with some high-end upgrades that may change the iPad experience for the better.
Even though there is still no confirmed release date for the upcoming device, and attempting some guesswork may not prove even remotely accurate given Apple's sporadic release history, most industry sources and iPad enthusiasts have been suggesting a possible early 2017 launch. This rumored release date stemmed from speculations about supply chains gearing up for a product release allegedly scheduled for the first or second quarter of 2017.
If these reports turn out accurate, then consumers could expect at least one new device from Apple's iPad line to be released before July 2017. However, there is no way to know for certain if these reports were referring to the rumored iPad Pro 2, or whether they were accurate to begin with.
As for the iPad Pro 2's operating system (OS), reports are saying that the upcoming Apple tablet could feature the iOS 10, which was the latest OS software upgrade that was launched last September along with the iPhone 7 variants.
It is for this reason that most of the rumors currently making the rounds regarding the iPad Pro 2 are saying the high-end tablet may feature most of the same device upgrades that were featured in the iPhone 7 models like the dual-camera configurations, significant improvements to the 3D Touch, the "Memories" search system for photos, and third-party app support for Siri.
However, Trusted Review reckoned that if the iPad Pro 2 ended up being released later in 2017, then it may run on iOS 11, which is rumored to be announced at the Cupertino tech company's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) happening in summer next year.
Additionally, there are also speculations that the iPad Pro 2 may launch with a new A10X chip that is an improved version of the current A10 processor in the iPhone 7. This could mean that the upcoming high-end tablet will be operating on a faster processor with a much longer battery life, owing to the A10's "Fusion" chip, which makes it possible to alternate between high-power and low-power cores, depending on the difficulty of the tasks the device is performing.
These are all just speculations and guesswork collated from various sources and Apple has yet to make official announcements regarding the rumored iPad Pro 2.
