Pangu remains silent about its long-awaited iOS 10 jailbreak, but jailbreaking is not dead as some fear, for another developer proved that it is still possible.

A developer with Twitter handle ijapija00 showed on video a working jailbreak for iOS 10.1.1 and the first beta version of the iOS 10.2, whose final version should be ready later this month.

The developer is not planning on releasing his iOS 10.1.1 and iOS 10.2 beta jailbreaks as they are still unstable and he would not want to be responsible for the devices that it might damage.

The work of ijapija00 shows that jailbreaking remains achievable despite the efforts of Apple to stop it. Each iteration of the iOS 10 software so far comes with a tweak that disables any jailbreak installed in a device.

According to WCCFTech, even though the iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak will be released by the developer, it most likely will be repealed with the iOS 10.2.

This will likely be the case with Pangu's software, although there is no update regarding the project ever since they announced it back in July at the Mobile Security Conference (MOSEC).

The China-based jailbreak development team showed off a jailbreak for the first beta version of the iOS 10. There was no word from them regarding that, leading users to believe that the iOS 10 jailbreak may not come at all.

It was first speculated that Pangu will release the software after the iOS 10.1 rollout, but this was not the case as the iOS 10.1.1 has already been deployed.

Pangu was believed to be hard at work in stitching the iOS 10 jailbreak together, but as Apple doubles its efforts to stop jailbreaking, it might be a while before the public release will take place.

At the moment, fans will just have to wait for Pangu's word whether or not they will still release the jailbreak tool.
