iOS 10 jailbreak release date, news, rumors: Jailbreak release imminent as Apple launches iOS 10.1 Beta 5
Several iPhone and iPad users around the globe have been patiently waiting for the iOS 10 jailbreak. It has been weeks since Apple rolled out the full version of the iOS 10, and a number of minor updates have also been released, the last being the iOS 10.0.3. Still, there is still no words from known iOS crack source, specifically the Chinese hacker group Pangu.
Pangu was the group behind the successful jailbreaking of the previous iOS 9.3 OS version. It took quite some time for them to decode Apple's security measure for the said OS version, but they have succeeded at the end of the day. This time around, Pangu is again expected to be the first one to release a working JB tool for the iOS 10. However, according to Yibada, Pangu, as well as other hackers, might be ready to release the jailbreak. It's just that they are still waiting for the right time to release it.
It is speculated that Pangu is just waiting for the first major update of the iOS 10 before they come up with the iOS crack. Releasing the jailbreak tool before the major update might end up useless as Apple would be able to find a way to counter Pangu's jailbreak efforts. The good news is that the Beta 5 of the iOS 10.1, the first major update for the said version, has already been deployed by Apple. It is only a matter of time untill the full iOS 10.1 update is made available. Shortly, the jailbreak tool for the OS update will be released.
Meanwhile, it was reported that Apple is no longer signing the older iOS 10.0.1 and iOS 9.3.3 versions. With this, iOS users will not be able to revert their device's current OS back to these mentioned versions. According to WCCF Tech, those who have not yet jumped to the iOS 10 bandwagon are lucky as the only existing iOS jailbreak tools work for the pre-iOS 10 versions. They can still use the jailbreak to tweak the settings of their device according to their preferences, while those who already have the iOS 10 must patiently wait for an applicable jailbreak software.
