iOS 10 jailbreak Pangu release date news 2016: software might not arrive this year?
The wait for the iOS 10 jailbreak by Chinese jailbreak development team Pangu continues just as Apple carries on with updating its landmark software.
Pangu's silence has many worried that the iOS 10 jailbreak tool will no longer see the light of day. The group has not provided an update since they revealed the project in July during the Mobile Security Conference (MOSEC) 2016.
As per reports, the iOS 10 jailbreak will be rolled out by Pangu this month in time for Christmas. However, it is believed that the iOS 10.2 software by Apple could undo its effects anyway.
The Cupertino-based tech giant has been doubling its efforts to stop jailbreaking. It has even offered a bounty to those who can help them find the vulnerabilities of the software for them to be able to fix it.
They have also been adding tweaks on majority of their software updates to render any jailbreak software installed in the device being updated.
Interestingly, there are reports that the iOS 10 jailbreak will be released right after the iOS 10.2 is rolled out by Apple. So far, the software is in beta 7, but is expected to be out and about in its full and final form in the coming days.
Pangu is reportedly ready to release the jailbreak tool, but is making sure that it will not be undone by the iOS 10.2 software so they are waiting for it.
This should give them time to work around the update so that the iOS 10 jailbreak will work perfectly with it.
Jailbreak fans who are waiting for the iOS 10 jailbreak should still be on the iOS 9.3. Fans are not advised to update to the latest software from Apple or they will lose the chance to use the tool.
However, if Pangu takes longer to come out with it, users might not have any choice but to update to the latest Apple software like what happened with the iOS 9.1 jailbreak released early this year as Apple rolled out the iOS 9.3.
