Indiana Pacers' guard Monta Ellis may be making his way out of the team after the Pacers recently signed another veteran guard, Aaron Brooks.

Brooks, whom the team signed from the Chicago Bulls, is considered a very reliable point guard as well as a makeshift shooting guard.

Many believe that Brooks will be the back-up of new point guard Jeff Teague as the franchise hopes to maintain a scorer on the floor whenever Teague takes to the bench.

In his career, Brooks averages 10.7 points per game and is a relatively reliable shooter from the perimeter.

However, his arrival has sparked speculations that Ellis may be seeing his way out of the team after adding another guard to the roster.

Before arriving to the Pacers, Ellis played two seasons with the Dallas Mavericks where he saw his role diminish in the Western Conference team.

He was then brought over to the Pacers in hopes to get a reliable scorer, and Ellis played 81 games for Indiana, starting all of them.

Within that time, he averaged 13.8 points per game while shooting around 43 percent from the field.

However, Ellis has been known to be a reckless player and a bit of a ball-hog and that might take away shots from the more established stars of the Pacers like Teague and Paul George in the coming year.

In comparison with Brooks, Ellis has a shoot-first mentality while Brooks will follow the game plan and find the team's top two players first before trying to win the game by himself.

If that happens, Ellis will need to look for another team, which would be his fifth already in his entire career in the NBA.

At the moment, he has a contract with the Pacers that will last until the 2018-19 season, and this year he is set to earn around $10.7 million.
