Huawei Mate 9 release date, specs rumors: Phone to come out this November?
Huawei received all the praise when it released the phone/tablet device, the Mate 8. Now the company is developing an updated version called the Android Mate 9, and rumors are suggesting that the device may be launched this coming November.
According to Tech Advisor, no specific date has been revealed, but the best approximate time frame puts the device's release next month. Earlier rumors have suggested that the Mate 9 will be coming in December, so users should be pleased to know that the device will arrive earlier than expected.
Reports are saying that the Mate 9 will be entering the market in two different variants. One will be the base model called the Manhattan. Meanwhile, the other one will be an upper-tier model named the Long Island.
The Mate 8 was mostly praised for its two-day-long battery life, so fans are now looking at the Mate 9 to see what it has to bring to the table.
Spec rumors suggest that the Mate 9 will come with a full-HD display and a dual-lens 20-MP camera. The phone will also come with an Octa-core processor as well as 4 to 6 GB of RAM and a minimum storage of 64 GB; the device is also said to be dual-SIM, and it will run on Android's latest OS, the Android 7.0 Nougat.
A lot of different color schemes are also going to be coming out for the Mate 9, and some colors are Sky Grey, Ceramic White, Enamel Gloss Black, Moonlight Silver, and Rose Gold.
As for the price, users can expect the Mate 9 to cost around $770. Some are saying that it could also cost up to £620 ($681) in the U.K. market.
