HTC One M9 vs Galaxy S6 Specs, Price Review: Features Comparison - Premium Metal Devices Both With Great Design and Specs

The HTC One M9 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 are the latest flagship devices from their respective companies. While the Galaxy S6 has a metal frame and is a big departure from the design of earlier Samsung devices, the HTC One M9 contains much of the same features of its predecessor, the HTC One (M8).

Design

The One M9 has the same rounded frame and speaker holes in front as its predecessor. However, it looks much better as its metal body has been hand-polished and now comes in four colors: white with gold, grey, full gold, and also pink with gold dual toned version. As for the Galaxy S6, it has a Gorilla Glass 4 on its front and back panels and a metal frame. It has slim bezels and a touch-type fingerprint sensor integrated with its home button.

Display

The 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display on the Galaxy S6 has a super crisp density of 577 pixels per inch and a resolution of1440 x 2560 pixels. While the One M9 has a 5.0 inches Super LCD3 display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 441 pixels per inch.

Specs

On the One M9 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and Adreno 430 GPU. As for the Galaxy S6, it has an Exynos 7420 chipset, quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and Mali-T760 GPU.

Memory

The One M9 has a memory slot which can be used to add up to 128 GB of external storage. The Galaxy S6 does not have one. As for RAM, both devices have 3GB versions.

Camera

The Galaxy S6 has a 16 megapixel camera at its rear with optical image stabilization while the One M9 has a 20 megapixel version with autofocus.

Price

Current rumors indicated that the 32 GB HTC One M9 will be priced at $649 while the 32 GB Galaxy S6 could be priced at $699.
