HTC 11 release date, news, specs rumors: Upcoming HTC handset to receive new dual curved display, expanded battery life
Earlier this year, HTC has unveiled a powerful smartphone with high-end specs and a new sophisticated design. The HTC 10 is considered to be among the company's best tech offerings to date, and just recently, there are rumors circulating on the internet that an even more powerful HTC smartphone is coming up soon.
According to Phone Radar, the HTC 11 will not be too different from the HTC 10, although it will be sporting some improvements over its predecessor. The handset is expected to sport a 5.5-inch dual curved screen with Quad HD display. It has a total maximum resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The HTC 11 is expected to have a new metal body.
The camera feature of the HTC 11 is also anticipated to have an enhanced 12 MP rear camera and 8 MP front or selfie cam. This is similar to the camera department of the HTC 10, although the HTC 11 will be having an improved sensor, among other possible camera upgrades. Both of the front and rear camera of the HTC 11 are expected to have improved autofocus sensors with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support.
Yibada speculates that the HTC 11 will boast a huge battery upgrade, coming in with 4,000mAh battery. Other core specs of the HTC 11 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4 GB RAM. As for the storage capacity of the handset, it is rumored that there will be a special 128 GB variant for the HTC 11, along with the already existing 32 GB and 64 GB options.
Many tech enthusiasts believe that the price of the base HTC 11 variant will be around $750, not too far off from the HTC 10's original tag price. The HTC 11 is expected to make an appearance at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 on Feb. 27. However, the Taiwan-based tech company has not yet confirmed any details regarding their next handset after the HTC 11, so the public is advised to take these early rumors with a grain of salt.
