'House Of Cards' Season 3 Release Date, Plot Spoilers: Who Will Frank Underwood Kill When Netflix Show Returns?
Like the Frank Underwood character he plays, Kevin Spacey has skillfully avoided giving away details in the upcoming season of "House of Cards" which premieres on Feb. 27 on Netflix.
The Golden Globe Award-winning actor, however, allowed himself to reveal some scenes for the third season of the much-awaited political drama.
"Well, I can reveal that there will be many scenes, and some of those scenes will take place in The White House," Spacey said in a recent interview with the National.
Perhaps, the most telling spoiler can be gleaned from the trailer as Claire Underwood (played by Robin Wright) tells her husband: "We're murderers, Francis." To which Frank replied: "We're survivors."
Fans may well remember how Frank Underwood killed journalist Zoe Barnes and Congressman Peter Russo. This makes it easy to guess that another major character will be killed in the third season.
Underwood, the former vice-president of the United States, made his way to the Oval Office using sleek tactics and finely calculated moves.
But if there's one thing in the interview that Spacey took seriously, he revealed how much he loved working , pledging that he will continue playing the role of Frank Underwood as long as there is a story worth telling.
Other cast members of the show, including Molly Parker (who plays Jackie Sharp), Derek Cecil (Frank's Director of Communications), and Jimmi Simpson (hacker Gavin Orsay), also gave an interview to Entertainment Weekly during the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Jimi Simpson, who portrays hacker Gavin Orsday in the "House of Cards," hinted that a romantic story was set for his character in the upcoming season. "My character starts moonlighting as a comic," Derek Cecil teased on what is in store for Underwood's director of communications.
Meanwhile, Mozhan Marnò, who plays the role of journalist Ayla Sayyad, hinted that the ending of "House of Cards" Season 3 will be "even more surprising than the last."
