It looks like Rockstar Games is still focused on its current open world action-adventure game title "Grand Theft Auto V," as latest reports reveal that more DLC packs for the game are expected to be released in the coming months. Rockstar recently released the "Bikers" DLC for "GTA V: Online," but the players have yet to see everything in this ongoing game expansion.

According to Yibada, a new DLC storyline for the online mode of "Grand Theft Auto V" will be released soon. This particular expansion set will include additional game contents and annex new map locations to the presently existing main map. This planned expansion is said to last up to, or even beyond the year 2020. With this, it is getting more unlikely that the rumored "Grand Theft Auto VI" title will be released or even developed anytime soon.

Particularly, the new map locations or cities that will be added to "GTA V: Online" areSan Fierro, Las Venturas, Vice City and Liberty City. It can be recalled that the Liberty City was once featured as the main setting of "Grand Theft Auto 3," "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories" and "Grand Theft Auto 4," having striking resemblance with the real-world New York City. On the other hand, the Vice City has already been present in previous "GTA" titles such as "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" and "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories." The infamous Vice City is based on the Floridian city of Miami.

The other two map extensions reported for "GTA V," San Fierro and Las Venturas, have already been included in the whole San Andreas setting of  "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," being the game versions of San Francisco and Las Vegas. For now, it appears that the expansion will only be for the "GTA V" online mode, although it was originally intended for the game's main story mode.

Meanwhile, Game Rant reported that the current expansion has been in production stage since "Grand Theft Auto V" itself was being developed, but Rockstar had to deal with the limitations of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles back then. Based on the rumored progress of the expansion, the players can expect the release of the new maps such as Liberty City and North Yankton (Canada version) in the early part of 2017.
