'Grimm' season 6 spoilers, plot news: cast teases surprises, tearjerking ending
"Grimm" season 6 will mark the end of the supernatural drama. The cast members are careful not to share too much about the final run of the series, but they did tease a bit of what to expect.
Jacqueline Toboni, who plays the role of Trubel, teased in an interview with Oregon Live that the final run of the series will be "a season of surprises."
"I just read the finale," Toboni teased of "Grimm" season 6. "Get your tissues ready, because I was bawling, crying. We definitely lay it all out on the line. The payoff is really quite something," she went on to say.
The cast of "Grimm" has grown attached to Portland, the setting of the series and the filming location. They found ways to contribute to the place they called home for years.
"Grimm" season 6 will see Nick (David Giuntoli) deal with the fallout of the events in the season 5 finale, which saw the destruction of the head of Black Claw as well as Nick and Renard (Sasha Roiz) in the middle of a confrontation.
The first promo for the season teases that Renard will be the main antagonist of the season and that he will stop at nothing until Nick is killed.
The hunt forces Nick to become some sort of fugitive, on the run from the baddie. Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) will accompany him, which will be interesting to see knowing that Juliette is returning to the surface.
This means that her feelings for Nick are also coming back, and also at the worst time especially with Nick already into Adalind (Claire Coffee). In fact, her and their son's safety is what keeps him going.
Nick appears to be dedicated to reuniting with his family. However, Diana (Hannah R. Lloyd) is ready to kill anyone who gets in the way of her mother, Adalind, and her father, Renard.
"Grimm" will air its final 13 episodes beginning Friday, Jan. 6, on NBC.
