GoPro Hero 4 Release Date, Specs Rumors: To Arrive Stores By End of the Year or Early 2015?
The GoPro Hero has been getting much attention from users and hailed as the "king of action cams" by some people. After the release of the GoPro Hero 3 in 2012, fans have been waiting for the GoPro Hero 4 and it seems like it will be arriving stores before the end of 2014 just in time for the holiday seasons or perhaps in the early 2015.
Although without any concrete evidence, the GoPro Hero 4 may shoot for a 4K resolution at 30 fps, 1080p at 120fps and 720p at 240fps. The camera may also be at 13 megapixels with a photo sensor, which is perfect for shooting in the dark. Other features may include electronic image stabilization, improved MCTF, HDR WDR tone mapping and multi-exposure.
The camera is also rumored to include other features such as Wi-Fi preset and an HDMI port along with a Cortex A-9 processor chip with an FPU accelerator, KpopStarz reports.
Users are also expecting greater water resistance and impact resistance of up to 60 meters.
GoPro has been commended for delivering high-end cameras specifically for the purpose of extreme sports in a live setting. GoPro cameras are rugged and lightweight, and does not even exceed 100g.
While GoPro was originally targeted for athletes and professionals, it has now reached out even to the mass audience, which is phenomenal.
According to rumors, it may be available in three colors: black, silver and white, and may sell at around $350. However, with the current GoPro Hero 3 selling at US $399.99, others speculate that the price may be at US $499.95.
