Google Nexus 6P vs Huawei Mate 8 specs comparison: Does Huawei's latest phablet outclass Nexus 6P?
It is good for the consumers to have a wider variety of choices in picking their newest device. Some people may have different tastes compared to another, and everything will depend on their personal preference. There are some who may be after a more classic-looking device, while some may check first the core specifications. Better camera feature is also one of the reasons for a buyer to prefer a certain product over the other. In the case of Huawei's latest phablet, Mate 8, people tend to compare it with Google's powerful Nexus 6P.
Listing each of the phablets' pros and cons, the people will have more idea about the right device for their needs. As for the camera features of the Huawei Mate 8 and Google Nexus 6P, the latter appears to have more color depth and bigger pixel sizes compared to the captured image quality of Mate 8, according to Tech Times. Moreover, the Nexus 6P might be the clear winner on this aspect as the quality of the image is still high even in dim environment.
Meanwhile, the screen display of the Nexus 6P also seems to outmatch that of Huawei Mate 8 due to its QHD AMOLED display feature, allowing for an improved visual experience in gaming and other activities in the handset that require more vibrant and colorful graphics. Mate 8's IPS LCD technology also works in a way to offer great graphics, but according to Android Authority, the Nexus 6P still wins with its quality AMOLED display.
Perhaps most of the people will be concerned about the processing capabilities of the phablets, as they would not want to get one that performs relatively slower than the other. To note, Google Nexus 6P makes use of the Octa-core 2 GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon 810 accompanied by an Adreno 430 CPU with random-access memory (RAM) up to 3 GB. Huawei Mate 8 uses a less known processor, the HiSilicon Kirin 950 Octa-core CPU supported by Mali-T880 GPU. It also boasts the same 3 GB RAM. The Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset is known to be fast and efficient and is likely to be the better performer than the HiSilicon Kirin 950. It should also be noted, however, that not much has been heard from Huawei's new chipset to say anything for certain.
If there is one thing that the Mate 8 has to beat the Nexus 6P, that is its higher battery capacity, Mobile N Apps reported. Both phablets have the same non-removable batteries.
