'Glee' Season 6 Air Date, Cast News: Controversy In The Air
There's some controversy in the air as "Glee" Season 6 is preparing for its return in the spring of 2015. Taping has been going on for Season 6, which will also be the show's final season.
Actress Naya Rivera (Santana in the TV series) has opened up about her discomfort at being pitted against reality TV star Kim Kardashian over some Instagram photos.
Rivera and Kardashian have history. This came about after Rivera made a negative comment regarding Kardashian's cover stint for Paper Magazine's Winter 2014 issue.
Still, no war drums are beating on the horizon because Kardashian has not reacted to Rivera's taunt, letting her fans instead to defend her, which they did, with a passion. This is probably what prompted Rivera last Nov. 13 to post a shot of her trying to cover her mouth with the hashtag "#instagramgotmeintrouble," as reported by US Weekly.
It could be a pre-Season 6 airing publicity stunt for "Glee," by Rivera, but if it is, it's not a very impressive one.
Meanwhile, as taping continues, there are talks that Season 6 of "Glee" will honor the former "Glee" actor Cory Monteith (who played Finn Hudson), once again.
The death of Monteith on July 13, 2013 seriously dented the TV series' storyline. In no small way, this was due to the onscreen relationship of Monteith's character and that of Rachel Berry (Lea Michelle), along with the on-today, off-tomorrow relationship of Michelle and Monteith in real life.
Still, even with his physical absence, Monteith continued to be fondly remembered by the cast and staff of "Glee," which is the reason why his memory is being preserved especially as Season 6 attempts to gather the entire cast who became part of the show, at one time or the other.
Aside from Naya Rivera, key actors for "Glee" Season 6 will be Dianna Agron, Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, and Chord Overstreet.
