August Maturo is following suit his co-star Rowan Blanchard in campaigning for the renewal of "Girl Meets World" for season 4.

The young actor took to Twitter to make his attempt to #SaveGirlMeetsWorld by sharing a series of tweets that show why the "Boy Meets World" spinoff should stay on air.

Maturo believes that there are a lot more things to discover and stories to tell in "Girl Meets World" season 4 including Lucas' (Peyton Meyer) parents and Zay's (Amir Mitchell-Townes) backstory.

He also said that "Girl Meets World" season 4 could touch on the married life of Shawn (Rider Strong) and Katy (Cheryl Texiera) and possibly a new baby.

Maturo believes that Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) alone, even describing them as "the greatest TV couple/parents in history," will make the renewal worthwhile.

Finally, the nine-year-old star emphasized that it was the bond and the closeness that cast and crew developed working in "Girl Meets World" that he hopes he will experience more in a new season. "This is a family. NO MATTER what, that will never change," Maturo captioned a photo of him with Blanchard, Sabrina Carpenter and the rest of the cast, all smiles.

Maturo's efforts to put the "Girl Meets World" season 4 renewal (or the lack of it) paid off as a legion of fans rallied behind him, putting the #SaveGirlMeetsWorld hashtag at the top of the worldwide trending topic list.

It remains to be seen whether this will impact Disney Channel's decision about the series although Maturo and Blanchard's need to campaign for a new season suggests the show is in trouble. Last month, Blanchard also started a Twitter campaign for the "Girl Meets World" season 4 renewal, saying that, "So important [for] our [generation] to be a voice of hope/change [and] learn from each other." "Hoping we continue to have that chance," she tweeted with the hashtag #GirlMeetsWorldSeason4. Disney is yet to release official word on the matter.

The final three episodes of "Girl Meets World" season 3 will air in January. The finale is titled, "Girl Meets Goodbye."
