'Girl Meets World' season 4 renewal update: New season to be renewed next month?
"Girl Meets World" season 3 is already in the homestretch, but Disney Channel is yet to give the nod for a season 4 renewal, but it looks like fans won't have to wait that long.
Disney renewed the show for the third season as the season approached the final six episodes. This suggests that there is a possibility that Disney could wait that long to announce a renewal.
But judging by how lightning fast it greenlit a second season (Disney renewed "Girl Meets World" for season 2 after just the first five episodes), this could also be a bad thing.
Either way, the takeaway from Disney's renewal timing is that it can wait as long it wants. This presents the possibility of "Girl Meets World" season 4 happening.
This suggests that a "Girl Meets World" season 4 renewal could still take place next month, at least if Disney exhausts all the time it has.
However, with Disney's unpredictability and considering the fact that the current season has been the poorest performing one so far, the chances might not be as high as one would expect.
Fears about having to see no "Girl Meets World" season 4 were on an all-time-high a couple of weeks ago, when the writers of the show listed on Twitter "Girl Meets Goodbye" as the title of the season 3 finale.
Add to that the fact that cast member August Maturo, who plays the role of Auggie in the "Boy Meets World" spinoff, replied that he is "not ready for Goodbye."
The radio silence from Disney is of course not helping. The last time they spoke about it was back in July, around the time that the reports about "Girl Meets World" season 4 not happening started to hit the web.
The representative of the network said that they are not discussing the show's future yet especially with season 3 airing up to next year.
From the looks of it, Disney might be taking everything into consideration—including the reception for each of the episodes for season 3—to make a decision about "Girl Meets World" season 4.
Until then, fans will have to wait until Nov. 4 to see Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and company back in the television screens with the episode "Girl Meets Her Monster."
