Netflix has just announced the release date of the "Gilmore Girls" revival, and fans would be happy to know that they need not wait too long to see Lorelai and Rory Gilmore back on the small screen again.

According to USA Today, the much-anticipated revival, which will be called "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life," would be hitting the streaming service on Nov. 25 at 3:01 a.m. ET/12:01 a.m. PT. Whether Netflix made it that way to coincide with Thanksgiving is anybody's guess, but mother and daughter fans of the show would have a blast watching it over the holiday.

Apparently, the new version of the series would be composed of four "chapters," each 90 minutes long and spanning one season. However, Netflix did more than just announce a release date for the reboot. They also dropped a teaser showing Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) speed talking at the kitchen table while making pop culture references. Check out the teaser below.

Now while the stars of the series, together with executive producers Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino, are keeping the juicy details of the show to themselves for now, E! News shared what they have gathered about the upcoming series so far.

The series would start with Rory returning to Stars Hollow from London where she's currently living and working. It will touch on Richard's (Edward Hermann) death, and this devastating aspect of the story would be part of the crossroads Lorelai, Rory, and Emily (Kelly Bishop) would find themselves on.

In related news, Jared Padalecki, who played Dean Forester in the series, granted an interview with Us Weekly at the San Diego Comic-Con where he said the four episodes of "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" won't taint fans' memories of the original series that ran from 2000-2007.

"There will always be some fans who are unhappy, but I think they'll be pleased with it," the "Supernatural" actor said, referring to Rory's romantic path in this installment.

However, before fans get the wrong idea, Padalecki has previously said that there won't be much screen time for Rory and Dean in the revival. In fact, he was on the set for merely a day, as the filming coincided with "Supernatural."

"I wanted to be a bigger part — I think they wanted me to be a bigger part of it as well. But it was shot during Supernatural, so I only did one day. But in that one day, it was a really good amount of stuff I got to do, and explained a lot."

"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" drops on Nov. 25 on Netflix.
