'Game of Thrones' Season 5 Spoilers, Plot News: New Trailer Shows Glimpses of Dragons, Epic Battles, Snow and a Wedding
The Mother of Dragons is ready to "break the wheel" when the highly anticipated "Game of Thrones" returns for its fifth season next month.
A month ahead of its premiere, HBO released a second trailer for "Game of Thrones," teasing fans with dragons, epic battles, sex, a lot of snow, and a wedding for Season 5.
"Lannister, Baratheon, Stark, Tyrell, they're all just spokes on a wheel. This one's on top and that one's on top and on and on it spins, crushing those on the ground," Daenerys Targaryen said, opening the trailer with an ominous monologue.
"We're not going to stop the wheel. I'm going to break the wheel," British actress Emilia Clarke went on as she portrayed the blonde Khaleesi.
While Daenerys renews her vow of vengeance, the two-minute clip showed a fire-breathing dragon action amid an insurgent uprising in Meereen and looming arrival of winter in the North.
The trailer's intriguing beats also showed Tyrion, too stunned to admire Dany's massive Drogon, and Varys on their quick feet to escape to Essos while Jon Snow attempts to unite the Wildlings and the Night's Watch in the Wall.
The trailer was unveiled as HBO announced it would launch a stand-alone streaming service exclusively with Apple called HBO Now.
The service, which will cost $14.99 a month, will be available on April 12 or around the same time that HBO will premiere "Game of Thrones" Season 5, which promises a roster of new intriguing characters.
These include Doran Martell, played by Alexander Siddig; the High Sparrow, played by Jonathan Pryce; and Obara Sand, played by Keisha Castle-Hughes.
Last month, HBO released the first trailer for its fifth season promising that "justice has a price" in a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes workings of the warring houses. The new footage shows the chaos still to come.
