Galaxy Note 4 vs Nexus 6 Comparison: Review of Specs, Price - Which Device Is Better?
Motorola's Nexus 6 is now considered the Samsung Note 4's biggest rival.
Motorola has yet to release its flagship phone, but its launch is set for late this month or early November. The Galaxy Note 4 is already available in the market.
Looking at the Nexus 6, the device has a remarkable design although it does lack stylus support. The Motorola phone features a brushed metal frame and a "soft touch back." It is lightweight and slim as well.
It appears to be a tie for both phones in the design aspect as the Samsung phone also looks impressive with its premium metal frames and sleek built. The Note 4's soft texture cover at the back also gives users a good grip.
The Nexus 6 features the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop — something obviously more advanced than Galaxy Note 4's Android 4.4 KitKat.
As for the other specifications, Nexus 6 features a 5.96-inch 2560 x 1440 QHD AMOLED display with 493ppi and 16:9 aspect ratio, covered with Gorilla Glass 3; 2.7GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 805 Krait 450 processor with an Adreno 420 GPU; 3GB of RAM; 32GB and 64GB internal memory options; 13-megapixel OIS rear facing camera with 4K video capability at 30 FPS and a dual LED ring flash; 2-megapixel HD front camera; and a 3220mAh battery with a charger that Motorola claims takes only 15 minutes to get a 6-hour battery life.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4, on the other hand, has a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED 2560x1440 display; 2.3GHz Snapdragon 805 Krait 450 processor with an Adreno 420 GPU; 3GB of RAM and a 32GB internal memory with up to 128 GB microSD card slot provision; 16-megapixel Smart OIS rear camera with fast autofocus and live HDR; 3.7-megapixel f/1.9 front camera with a 90 degree selfie viewing angle and a 120 degree wide selfie mode; 3220mAh battery that Samsung claims has a 48-hour battery life.
As for the price, the Nexus 6 with 64GB capacity will come at $699 while the 32 GB version will be priced at $649. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4, however, costs $825.99.
Our verdict? Nexus 6 wins on the overall specifications and price. However, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 remains to be a top choice among smartphone buyers.
