'Forza Horizon 3 ' DLC release date: Three-wheeler car pack, tracked vehicles coming to game?
"Forza Horizon 3" will receive a downloadable content (DLC) next month and it is something that fans of the racing game has never seen before in the long-running franchise.
In a "Forza's Motorsport" Week-In Review newsletter, community manager Brian Ekberg teased this upcoming expansion of which was acquired by iDigital Times.
There, he announced that they are "adding something in November that we've never done before in the Forza Horizon series."
There is no way of knowing what "Forza Horizon 3" will be all about, but rumors have it that the racing game might get a set of motorcycles or quad bikes, which will fit in Ekberg's description of what's next in the game.
However, some speculate that a motorcycle-themed DLC for "Forza Horizon 3" will be too much work for Playground Games than usual in terms of animation as it would mean the drivers will be animated.
Drivers are barely animated in "Forza Horizon 3" and unless Playground Games has decided to put in much work to make the characters behind the seat do something else beyond steering, a motorcycle expansion may be unlikely.
Such kind of effort in the animation is expected in a completely new installment of the series other than a monthly DLC pack.
A Reddit user named CarrierOfTime speculates that, based on Ekberg's comments, the next DLC for "Forza Horizon 3" might include a racing truck from "Forza Motorsport 6" or a three-wheeler car park or a "crazy cards" week.
The same user posits that rather than quad bikes, either it could be more like Motorhomes, Light Goods Vehicles or military or tracked vehicle.
A specific release date for the "Forza Horizon 3" DLC is yet to be announced, but with the month of November coming soon, fans should hear about what's next for the hit open-world racing video game.
