Five Nights At Freddy's 3 Release Date, Warning: Beware Of Scams; Game Not Yet Released
An indie game creator has warned fans of "Five Nights At Freddy's 3" not to believe the rumor that the third version of his popular game was already released on Feb. 5.
In a Feb. 6 post made on his Steam Greenlight website, Scott Cawthon also cautioned fans to avoid any scam download links supposedly for the game on the Internet.
"Hopefully most of you have realized that FNaF3 has not been released! Anyone who claims otherwise is trying to scam you. I will make an official announcement when the game has been released," Cawthon said.
"Any download links you see are false and will most likely contain something undesirable, so be careful!" he added in a shout-out to gamers who warned him about the false links.
The video game creator assured fans that he will personally make the official announcements once the scary video game for PC is out on the same website. He said he will also make the announcement as "animdude" on IndieDB.
The latest installment of the horror game series has been widely anticipated by fans.
"Five Nights at Freddy's" grabbed the number one spot on Steam Greenlight after just a few teaser images and a short trailer was released.
After the quick turnaround between the first and second game, fans speculated that there would be a third early this year.
As noted by Kotaku, the game gives you the role of a security guard to watch over a local pizza place. The goal is to just stay alive until morning, preferably for five nights in a row.
It may sound easy but the presence of psycho toys that are out there to get you actually makes the task very hard to accomplish.
If you think you have what it takes to last Five Nights at Freddy's, you just have to wait a little longer since there's no official date announced yet for the release of the popular game.
