'Final Fantasy XV' release date, news and updates: Final trailer released online
Nothing stands out in the RPG genre like "Final Fantasy," and fans have been awaiting the release of "Final Fantasy XV" which is coming out this month. A final trailer has been released for the game, and it gives an in-depth look at the story of "FF XV" and what gamers can expect from the latest addition to the franchise.
The trailer lasts for nearly 10 minutes, and it explains how the developers plan to make this game welcoming to new players as well as seasoned gamers of "Final Fantasy." Some reports have said that a lot of fans have been complaining about the game because it's said to only make sense if the players saw the spin-off movie, "Final Fantasy: Kingsglaive," but this trailer looks to solve that dilemma.
For one, the trailer introduces players to the lead character Noctis, his powers, and how he is relevant to the story. The video explains that Noctis is some sort of prince, and he has the ability to draw weapons out of thin air during battles — an ability only possessed by people of royal blood. The story revolves around him and his friends going on an adventure as they try to regain Noctis' throne from the Imperial army.
Along for the ride are Noctis' friends Prompto, Gladiolus and Ignis. Prompto is considered to be the "heart" of the team, and he is of common birth. He has been longtime friends with Noctis and he is known to have skills with guns and cameras.
Gladiolus is the eldest of the group, and his family is said to be the traditional protectors of Noctis' family. He serves as the tank during battles and can charge enemies head on. He also has survivalist skills and can pick up random items as the gang ventures into the world of Eos.
Lastly, Ignis is raised to be a royal advisor to Noctis and is considered to be one of the most knowledgeable in the group. He's known to be a strategist, and he is also in charge of cooking for the team. His weapons are twin knives.
Players will get to familiarize better with Noctis and his gang when they play "Final Fantasy XV" which comes out on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
