'Final Fantasy XV' release date, latest news & update: Trailer teases omen for King Regis' future
In a few more weeks, Square Enix's popular, highly anticipated video game "Final Fantasy XV" will launch worldwide. Excited gamers were recently treated with a trailer for the upcoming video game.
In the "Final Fantasy XV" trailer titled Omen, gamers were shown a glimpse of the game's graphics and storyline. The short clip showed what the main protagonist will face in the game. The trailer's title, "Omen," revealed the fate of Noctis' father, King Regis, who will face a disastrous future unless prevented.
Square Enix also wrote, "This short movie, which can only be described as a nightmare for the struggling Noctis, is a collaboration between FINAL FANTASY XV and Digic Pictures, the world-renowned 3D animation studio that also took part in the creation of KINGSGLAIVE FINAL FANTASY XV."
Game director Hajime Tabata previously confirmed that the upcoming video game will feature downloadable content (DLC) which will have a new cooperative multiplayer mode wherein gamers can pick Noctis' buddies, Gladiolus, Prompto and Ignis. The DLC is expected to launch after the "Final Fantasy XV."
Though the video game is expected to launch on Xbox and PlayStation platforms, Tabata reportedly expressed his desire to develop the title for the latest Nintendo Switch.
In an interview with French publication Gameblog, Tabata told the news outlet, "It's been a while that I've told myself that I would like to make games on a Nintendo machine, so if the Nintendo Switch could be that opportunity, I'll be delighted!"
"Final Fantasy XV" is slated to launch on Nov. 29 for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Reports said that the PC version will launch after; however, no specific date has been given.
