"Fast and Furious 8" will be the first movie without the late Paul Walker, who played the role of Brian O'Connor, who was one of the most important assets Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) had.

The character was retired in "Fast and Furious 7," but if the speculations are anything to go by, another O'Conner will enter the picture.

Some are speculating that "Fast and Furious 8" newcomer Scott Eastwood will play the role of Brian's long-lost brother, who will join the Toretto gang to fill in for his brother.

Walker's character was written off in a way that he will focus on his family and stay away from such dangerous walk of life now that he has a family.

Eastwood is rumored to be in "Fast and Furious 8" to help the group and that he has the same set of kills his purported brother has to bring to the table.

The actor's role in the film is still being kept under wraps for the most part. The only thing known about him is that he will work for Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell).

According to Digital Spy, contrary to Mr. Nobody's name, he actually knows everybody, which means that he might have dug up some information about Brian's family, which results to his long lost brother being brought into the fray.

The fact that the name of Eastwood's character is being kept a mystery also gives the impression that he is connected to someone already established in the franchise.

The resemblance of Eastwood and Walker, who were friends for years in real life, should make it easy for viewers to convince their characters are brothers.

The fact that they were pals certainly makes it even more special. When Eastwood's "Fast and Furious 8" casting was announced, he promised he will honor his friend in his performance.

"Paul was a close friend of mine. We surfed together, traveled together, and he was a huge role model and influencing figure in my life when I was younger. He still is," the actor wrote.

"He was an older brother to me. For me to be able to add to the F&F story, Paul's story, and the FAST family is like a dream come true," he added.

"Fast and Furious 8" hits the cinemas April 14, 2017.
