'Fast and Furious 7' Spoilers, News: The Rock vs. Jason Statham Fight Scene Leaked

An image of the Rock and Jason Statham going head to head against each other was one of the pictures leaked on the official Facebook page of "Fast and Furious 7" on Wednesday.

In the teaser photo, the two are seen in the middle of a fist fight.

Statham has joined the film as the antagonist Ian Shaw, brother of Owen Shaw who died in "Fast and Furious 6." Now, Ian is back for his revenge.

Meanwhile, The Rock is reprising the role of his bad-guy-turned-good-guy character Luke Hobbs. However, Luke will also have a secret agenda and that is to avenge Han's death.

There were no plot details revealed together with the photo release, but the caption made the fans even more excited to watch the upcoming film. "This is what you all have been waiting for. #Furious7," the caption states.

After Statham was featured at the end credits of "Fast and Furious 6," fans expressed eagerness to see his clash with the Rock in the seventh instalment of the movie franchise. Apparently, Director James Wan did not want to disappoint the fans.

Based on the actors' facial expressions in the fight image, this could be the highlight scene of "Furious 7" (the film was renamed for the U.S. release). For the previous instalments the highlight fight scenes were: Gina Carano vs. Michelle Rodriguez in "Fast and Furious 6" and Vin Diesel vs. The Rock in "Fast Five."

Aside from the photo, the Facebook page of the "Furious 7" also showed a behind-the-scenes clip of other fights featuring Ludacris, Ronda Rousey and the late Paul Walker.

According to Screenrant, fans can expect a lot more fight scenes especially since the franchise has added martial arts expert Tony Jaa in the series.
