'Fallout: New Vegas' 'The Frontier' DLC release date, news and updates: Trailer for new mod hits the net, taken down due to copyright claims
Though "Fallout: New Vegas" came out back in 2010, the game still has a very active online community that provides new mods and upgrades. A trailer was released for an upcoming mod called "The Frontier," but it has since been taken down due to copyright claims.
According to the official "Frontier" page, the mod will bring a lot of new features to "Fallout: New Vegas" including a new world design, new gameplay and updated graphics. The new world is said to be 16 by 16 kilometers in the northwestern part of a post-apocalyptic U.S.A., and players will have to go against both the natural elements and actual human enemies in the game.
Though the official trailer was taken down by Gaijin Entertainment, there's another look at the game that has been available since September. The locations tease an icy shanty that is littered with mutated creatures and dark ominous locations.
According to reports, the "Frontier" downloadable content (DLC) has been undergoing development for a year, and the mod is looking to be quite a large expansion. In contrast to the desert setting in the original game, "Frontier" will bring players to an ice-cold location where they will be able to experience a new type of warfare that brings them to the frontlines of battle.
The same site also reports that players will be able to use their classic "New Vegas" characters in the DLC, and that as of now, the part of the expansion that requires the most work is the script.
No official release date has been announced for "The Frontier," but fans are still waiting for more news to pop up, as well as an official trailer.
Though the game is six years old, the community is still thriving and players are still very active in "Fallout: New Vegas" which is now available for purchase for all platforms.
