The post-apocalyptic world gets a visual upgrade next week when "Fallout 4" releases its Update 1.9 for PlayStation 4 (PS4). The developers of the open world, action role-playing game has risen up to the challenge of the PS4 Pro's higher resolution, and they are now ready to provide patrons of the popular title with a more immersive gameplay experience.

The upcoming update will reportedly add enhancements to both lighting and graphic features to gear "Fallout 4" up for the upgraded capabilities of the PS4 Pro. These enhancements will include a base resolution of 2560 x 1440, increased draw distance for environmental objects like grass and trees, as well as for non-player characters (NPCs), and heightened Godray effects.

Additionally, Bethesda will also be providing a High-Resolution Texture Pack for gamers who would like to stick to playing "Fallout 4" on their PCs via Steam. The update will come free to download as a show of gratitude for PC fans who have been supporting the title from the very beginning.

The upcoming update for PC will require a relatively strong PC with 58 GB of free space. To get the best of what the new texture pack has to offer, Bethesda recommends an Intel Core i7-5820K or better, a GTX 1080 8GB graphics card, and 8GB of RAM. The developer also promises that the upcoming PC update will make The Commonwealth appear in a more visually appealing way — if the PC system can handle the high-end features.

The update will provide a way to revert back to the original textures by disabling the texture enhancements within the game's launcher menu.

There will also be an update to the mod support portal on "Fallout 4" as well as Bethesda's other popular title "Skyrim Special Edition." This update is expected to roll out across all platforms along with the upcoming visual upgrades.

Bethesda has not provided an exact date of release for the "Fallout 4" updates, but the company promises to provide more details about it and the additional mod features in the coming days.
