'Fallout 4' PS4 mods release date news 2016: Bethesda says it has no control on schedule of launch
New details about the long-awaited "Fallout 4" PlayStation 4 mods have been revealed cared of Bethesda Softworks vice president Pete Hines.
On Twitter, he clarified that the PS4 mods for the game are not actually broken. "They haven't pushed it live yet," he clarified.
Hines once again reminded fans that they have no control as to when Sony or Microsoft releases features such as this on their respective consoles.
"We don't control other people's platforms. We give the time, but we aren't pushing the buttons," Hines pointed out, suggesting that it will be up to Sony when the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods see the light of day.
In the past few weeks, the Bethesda executive has also been mentioning the evaluation for the feature and that they themselves have not received updates.
"Until evaluation is done there is no way to give a date. We don't have a date when eval will be done," he said at that time. He also pointed out that they themselves are waiting for updates presumably from Sony.
The "Fallout 4" PS4 mods were supposed to be released end of June. Gamers are entering the third month since the original launch date.
The postponement was brought about by serious problems on the mods, including a limited upload of only 900MB, which is little compared to the 2GB on the Xbox One mods.
There were also issues on the sound support as well as performance and graphics all in all. The "Fallout 4" PS4 mods sounded like there are still so much to be done.
Either way, Hines always promised that fans will get the word about the new release date once they themselves get them. For now, fans will have to play the waiting game a little further and stay patient.
Part of the delay was making sure the "Fallout 4" PS mods are integrated right. At this time, users can first focus on the "Nuka World" DLC, which was just released.
