'Fairy Tail' chapters 519, 520 spoilers: Irene takes own life to save Erza; is Natsu's journey about to end?

As history has proven time and time again, there is no stronger force than a mother's love for her child. And after Irene's surprising revelation that she has not, after all, stopped loving Erza, will a bond finally be forged between mother and daughter, even just for a little while?

The previous episode of the long-running Japanese manga series "Fairy Tail" finally saw the downfall of the Scarlet Despair. After Erza succeeded in breaking through the Deus Sema and, with Wendy's enchantment, struck Irene back to her human form, she fell to the ground seemingly defeated. But the smile she had on her face struck Irene much deeper than any enchanted weapon could ever hope to do.

Her daughter's smile brought her back to that time when she abandoned Erza for the sake of saving her daughter from herself. It turned out that Irene had indeed thought of enchanting herself into her newborn child, but fell in love with the baby's smile in the process. The realization brought back all of the maternal instincts she has been trying to bury deep inside her, which, in turn, drove her to stab herself with Erza's sword.

And thus, for the second time, the mightiest sorceress of the Alvarez Empire, has chosen to save her daughter from herself.

But as tragic as this turn of events might be, it seems that the next chapter of "Fairy Tail" titled "Dragon or Demon" will bring the narrative back to Natsu and his on-going journey through "his heart." Will E.N.D. finally make its appearance in the next chapter of "Fairy Tail"?

It will be remembered that chapter 516 left Natsu in a rather precarious situation after Igneel revealed that aside from the dragon seed which Igneel was suppressing inside him, there was a second seed lying dormant inside him all this time. But now that the demon seed has been activated, it has also put Natsu's life in very grave danger because once the dragon seed and the demon seed fused together, Natsu will die.

A new chapter of "Fairy Tail" comes out in the next issue of the "Weekly Shounen Magazine."
