'Fairy Tail' Chapter 499 speculations: Juvia will die and Gray will be pushed to the Dark Side

The last chapter of "Fairy Tail" had Invel Yura fighting with Gray, and Invel has revealed that Gray has a dark power within him just waiting to be awakened. The next chapter is said to have Gray sacrificing himself and Juvia to defeat Invel, but in a twist, Juvia transfuses her blood to Gray to make sure he survives, and her death will either trigger Gray to join the dark side or make him resent the dark side even more.

Chapter 499 will reportedly have Gray and Juvia trapped in Invel's Ice Lock attack. The attack doesn't only control the victim's bodies, but it also has control over their minds, making Gray and Juvia Invel's living puppets. The only way to get out of the spell is to have one of the entranced people die.

Juvia's original plan was to sacrifice herself to save Gray, but Gray, in an attempt to stop Juvia, releases an attack that hurts both himself and Juvia. While the two lay motionless on the ground, Juvia then attempts to transfuse her blood to Gray in order to make sure he lives. With this action, Juvia tells Gray that she will "live within him."

Juvia's action is said to have worked, and her death will awaken a dark power within Gray that he will use to fight Invel. Will Invel still have the upper hand? Or will Gray be powerful enough to put an end to him once and for all?

Some fans speculate that Juvia's death will push Gray to join the dark side, but some are more optimistic and think that Juvia's sacrifice will only solidify Gray in his choice to fight against the dark. It's also said that Natsu will be helping Gray defeat Invel once Juvia dies.
