Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield rumors: Couple not back together; Ryan Gosling had nothing to do with break-up
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield first met on the set of "The Amazing Spider-Man" and they dated for about four years before their break-up in 2015. New rumors have been spreading that the couple has recently gotten back together and have even gotten engaged.
Reports said rumors of their engagement sprung after the couple was seen strolling together in London. An engagement was not the case, however. The two just decided to remain good friends after the break-up.
They reportedly ended their relationship because the two had busy schedules that most likely hindered them from being with each other — there was no drama and no fuss.
Other rumors have also said that the break-up had something to do with Stone's "La La Land" co-star Ryan Gosling, but those rumors have also been proven to be false. Since 2011, Gosling had been with his wife Eva Mendes.
Stone has already risen to be an A-list actress throughout the course of her career. Before she starred in Academy Award-winning movies like "Birdman," she played side characters in comedies like "Superbad," "The House Bunny," and "Zombieland."
Garfield gained mainstream recognition when he played Facebook investor Eduardo Saverin in David Fincher's "The Social Network." His name only became more popular when he was cast as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man in Sony's reboot of the franchise.
Though the "Spider-Man" franchise did bring the two stars together, its end may have had a hand in splitting them apart. With the two having busy schedules with different productions, fans speculate that the two actors may have had difficulty to find time for each other.
Stone is reportedly still fond of her ex-co-star, and it's only a matter of time before the two may work on the same production again.
