Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat trade rumors 2016: Dwyane Wade joins Bulls, ends era with Heat

Following Kevin Durant's big news of joining the Golden State Warriors, the basketball world recently shook upon learning that Dwyane Wade agreed to move from the Miami Heat to the Chicago Bulls.

After playing 13 years with the Heat, many assumed that Wade would be with the Florida franchise for the rest of his career.

In that time he has had much success, winning three total NBA championships and cementing his legacy as one of the best shooting guards to ever play the game.

Furthermore, Wade was the very epitome of loyalty as he had been at the driver seat with the franchise, as well as a back-up star when LeBron James arrived to help the team win two titles.

However, Wade and the Heat hit a rough patch this summer, with the team apparently hesitant to give Wade the deal he wanted.

According to ESPN, the deal that Miami wanted Wade to sign was a $40 million deal for two years.

This was not what Wade had in mind as he reportedly wanted somewhere around $50 million. With that, talks on a possible movement had started to circulate.

Links between Wade and the Bulls grew strong, especially with Wade's hometown being the Windy City.

Eventually, the talks became final as Wade agreed to a deal, as reported by USA Today.

The deal gives the 34-year-old $47 million for two years and it brings Wade to play alongside Rajon Rondo and Jimmy Butler.

With the Bulls recently losing Pau Gasol to the San Antonio Spurs and Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks, it is a very welcome sight to see another marquee player moving to Illinois. It just shows that the Bulls are still a big-market team and can still attract some of the best players in the league.

The free agency has only begun but some of the biggest moves have already been seen. Still it will be intriguing to see what other movements may arise after this.
