'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' updates: Broly raid quest for the new year; bonus experience points event and more ongoing
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" players are getting the chance to go head to head with the legendary Super Saiyan, Broly, at the beginning of the new year.
Bandai Namco Entertainment will launch a raid quest on Monday, Jan. 2, from noon to midnight (CET), where players can duke it out with the monstrous Broly and earn rewards.
Players get to enjoy, first and foremost, some bragging rights in this exciting raid quest, but it will depend on the amount of damage the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" warriors manage to inflict on one of the most dangerous and destructive Super Saiyans ever.
Deal 5,000 damage on Broly to earn the "Violent" designation. Those who can go up to a whopping 50,000 damage get to call themselves "Berserker." Double that damage to 100,000 to be labeled the "Ultimate Weapon."
Should "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" players manage to beat level 99 Broly, everyone who had a hand in the defeat will receive 30 TP Medals. A bonus of 30 more TP Medals will be awarded if the team manages to "deliver the Final Blow."
"Older Raid Bosses will make an apparition during the holidays, so keep an eye on the skies of Conton City! Please note that those fights will only have TP medals and Hercule's Badges as rewards," Bandai Namco wrote on its website.
Yesterday, the developer held the Hit raid quest, which also rewarded "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" players based on the damage they incur on the legendary assassin from Universe 6.
Other events fans should keep an eye out for the event's Bonus Experience Points in which they can enjoy 1.25 times more experience points. This runs from Dec. 30 1 a.m. CET to Jan. 4 at 1 a.m. CET.
The Frieza Siege Event is still underway and will end tomorrow, Dec. 29. Depending on the enemy players tackle, they will get special jerseys as pictured above. Those who beat Frieza's army will get nicknames depending on how they performed against the enemy.
First placers get the "TP1" nickname while those who placed second up to 50th will get to call themselves "Defender." Those that ranked below that (up to rank 200) shall be called "Apprentice."
