As the wait for the Universe Survival Arc continues, "Dragon Ball Super" keeps fans entertained with filler episodes, which is exactly what the next episode will be.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 73 is titled "Gohan's Disaster! Great Saiyaman's Unbelievable Movie Adaptation?!" In this installment, Gohan gets a shot at stardom.

As the title of "Dragon Ball Super" episode 73 suggests, things will not go well. Gohan will be the stunt double for the Great Saiyanman, which means that he will be doing all the action scenes in the film.

The synopsis for the installment provided by the ever-reliable "Dragon Ball Super" tipster Todd Blankenship teases that "an unexpected turn of events makes Gohan's day."

The complete description for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 73 is as follows:

"A movie is being made about the dream showdown, Great Saiyaman vs. Mister Satan! An actor named Barry Kahn was supposed to play Great Saiyaman, but while filming a dangerous scene, Gohan offers himself as a potential substitute!!

I'll never abide evil!! It's the champion of justice, Great Saiyaman!! Starring in a movie with Mister Satan?!"

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 73 will not air next week for the New Year, and will instead be aired a week after, Jan. 8. More fillers will likely follow leading up to the Universe Survival Arc.

The new story arc will begin in February, so the whole month of January will likely be filled with filler episodes only. Either way, "Dragon Ball Super" episode 73 sounds like another fun episode with minor characters being thrust into the spotlight.

As for the Universe Survival Arc, this "Dragon Ball Super" story sees the Omni-King assemble the greatest fighters from all 12 universes that he rules for the ultimate tournament.

The loser in each match will have to sit and watch his universe blown up into smithereens so this clearly is not the typical tourneys.
