'Dragon Ball Super' Episode 59 spoilers news: Gowasu's death may be imminent; Zamasu may die in Beerus' hands

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 59 may not have aired this week but discussions about Zamasu and the presumably imminent death of his master, Gowasu, the 10th Universe's kaio, have kept on.

According to reports, the action-packed anime's schedule this week was preempted by the Weekly Shounen Jump's 40th Anniversary program featured on Fuji TV. But fans can expect "Dragon Ball Super" back on its regular weekly schedule next Sunday. And when it returns, things may not bode well for one of its gentler characters.

In "Dragon Ball Super" episode 58, a visit from Whis, Beerus, and Kaioshin ultimately led to Son Goku and his crew theorizing that Gowasu's life may be in danger. This prompted the three kaio along with Goku to travel to the 10th Universe to watch over its unwitting kaio, whose possession of a Time Ring has put him right in the cross hairs of his apprentice Zamasu's power-hungry ambitions.

Zamasu presumably used a Time Ring to ask the Super Dragon Balls for two wishes —immortality and Black Goku — without having to wait out the one-year gap between one wish and the next. But since a Time Ring can only be used by a kaio and the present Zamasu is currently being trained to succeed Gowasu as the 10th Universe's kaio, worrying about the current kaio's life may not totally be baseless.

But Goku's group cannot yet act on their suspicions unless the present Zamasu does something out of line that consequently puts Gowasu's life in danger. The preview for the upcoming 59th episode of "Dragon Bal Super," shows Goku and the three kaio watching Zamasu's actions closely after Beerus specifically told Goku not to reveal anything about the future Zamasu's destructive escapades.

Their plan to protect the 10th Universe's kaio may fail since the preview also shows a clip of Gowasu seemingly succumbing to Zamasu's evil machinations. Moreover, a brief synopsis of the upcoming 60th episode translated by Gojiita states that Beerus will be killing Zamasu as retaliation for the latter's murder of Gowasu. The synopsis further says that future Trunks will be travelling back in time to make sure if Beerus has indeed annihilated the threat of Zamasu.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 59 titled, "Protect Kaioshin Gowasu: Destroy Zamasu!" airs on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. JST on Fuji TV.
