When the long wait is finally up for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 59, fans will be closer to the truth about Zamasu and how he got his start before he became the most fearsome foe Goku and the group have ever met.

Titled "Protect the Kaioshin Gowasu, Destroy Zamasu," the episode will see the heroes start to wonder how a Kaioshin apprentice like Zamasu possesses Potara earrings and a Time Ring, both only Kais have.

This leads them to think that Zamasu stole the powerful items. In "Dragon Ball Super" episode 59, they will realize they were right about it all along as Zamasu plots to kill Gowasu by poisoning him.

Before Zamasu can even do so, Goku and the group spring into action and head to Universe 10 right away. However, they might not be able to save Gowasu.

The promo for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 59 suggests that Beerus will stand back and first get some proof that Zamasu will indeed kill his master.

Goku says that it will be too late by then, leading to wonder what the God of Destruction has in mind. Indeed, the trailer hinted that Gowasu drank the poisoned drink.

Although his face was not seen, Gowasu can be seen losing grip of the glass, looking like he was about to drop dead. Zamasu then flashed an evil grin, suggesting that his plan was a success.

With that said, "Dragon Ball Super" episode 59 will likely see the end of Zamasu. However, it's not only the poor Kai that meets his demise.

As per the leaked synopsis of "Dragon Ball Super" episode 60, which is titled "To the Future Once again, Goku Black's identity revealed," Beerus will kill Zamasu after he commits the crime in order to undo his future as an evil destroyer of universes.

However, the summary for the episode suggests that Zamasu's death does nothing to change the future. Although fans won't know that yet until Future Trunks himself checks.

"Dragon Ball Super" returns with episode 59 "Protect the Kaioshin Gowasu, Destroy Zamasu" on Sunday, Sept. 25 on Fuji TV.
