'Dragon Ball Super' episode 58 spoilers: Mysteries behind Zamasu's immense god-like powers revealed

In the previous episode of "Dragon Ball Super," Son Goku and his gang lost a battle in the future against the combined forces of Black Goku and the immortal Zamasu. Coming back to the present, they have finally begun piecing together the mystery behind Zamasu's fall to the dark side.

The 58th episode of "Dragon Ball Super" titled, "Zamasu and Black - Two People's Mystery Deepens," opened on the present Zamasu paying a visit to the all-knowing alien, Zuno to ask him about the Super Dragon Balls and Son Goku.

Meanwhile, in Capsule Corp, Bulma revived the three fallen Saiyan with senzu beans which Goku had apparently left behind in the toilet. They would later be visited by Whis, Beerus and Kaioshin to report on the present Zamasu's recent visit to Zuno. They eventually came to the conclusion that Zamasu's immortality came from the Super Dragon Balls but the mystery behind Black Goku has yet to be unraveled. Whis speculated that Black may have been a clone that Zamasu asked the Super Dragon Balls to create as his servant.

This would've required Zamasu to gather the Super Dragon Balls twice while also waiting out the one-year gap between the previous wish and the reactivation of the Dragon Balls. They figured that Zamasu must've used a Time Ring, which only a legitimate kaio could wield. One speculation led to another with the group eventually fearing for the life of the present Zamasu's master, Gowasu, the kaio of the 10th Unvierse.

Whis, Beerus, Kaioshin and Goku pay Gowasu a visit, but could not yet act on their suspicions until Zamasu did something to endanger the kaio's life.

On the other hand, the people of the future were close to losing hope after finding out that even the combined forces of Goku and Vegeta couldn't defeat the menace that was Zamasu and Black Goku.

The question still remains as to who Black Goku really is and why he has the same ki as Zamasu. The answers will surely come as "Dragon Ball Super" progresses.

According to Movie News Guide, the 59th episode titled "Protect Kaioshin Gowasu: Destroy Zamasu!" will air on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. JST on Fuji TV. The reason behind the one-week gap between the episodes is yet unknown.

Also, brief episode synopses translated by Gojiita revealed that "Dragon Ball Super" episode 60 will see Beerus, the god of destruction, annihilating Zamasu after the latter succeeds in killing Gowasu. Trunks will travel back to the future to find out if Zamasu is really gone for good.
