'Dragon Ball Super' episode 57, 58 spoilers: Goku's team barely escapes death; present Zamasu takes interest in Super Dragon Balls
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 57 started out on a bad note for Son Goku, Vegeta, and Future Trunks when Zamasu showed up just as Black Goku was about to finish Son Goku off.
But the Kaio of Universe 10 didn't come to offer them aid, and instead, it was revealed that they were in cahoots with Black. The episode titled, "The Immortal God: Zamasu Descended," shed some light on Zamasu's motives as he revealed, in snippets of dialogues inserted between exchanges of fatal blows, how he despised humans and his hope of building a world without them in it. He particularly loathed Saiyans, like Goku and his gang, who defied the gods by using their divine ki.
He also showed off his immortality while gloating over his indestructible body. In a moment of carelessness, Zamasu managed to grab both Goku and Trunks and held them in the path of Black's deadly Kamehameha wave. Just as Black and Zamasu were about to deliver the finishing blow on the barely conscious Goku and Trunks, Vegeta used up what little was left of his power to counter this attack before fainting for the second time.
Fortunately, Vegeta's attack offered enough distraction for Yajirobe to drag Goku and Trunks away from the battlefield, while Mai and her crew threw smoke bombs on the enemies to retrieve the unconscious Vegeta. Mai then sent the three Saiyans back to the present on a Time Machine, despite Future Trunks' protests.
The next scene showed the present Zamasu finding out about Goku and the Super Dragon Balls through Gowasu-sama, feeling right then and there the first wave of hatred for humans clad in the power of gods. He subsequently went to Zunoo to know more about the Super Dragon Balls.
In the next episode of "Dragon Ball Super," Zamasu will dig deeper into the mystery of the Super Dragon Balls and the man named Goku who dared to use the power of the gods. Beers, Whis, and Supreme Kai pay a visit to the injured Saiyans who are recuperating with the help fo Senzu beans. The upcoming episode may shed more light on the real identities of Black Goku and Zamasu. This is according to an episode synopsis translated by Gojitaaf.
